You’re an MSP or an BSP, so you know that social media marketing is essential. But where do you start? That’s where we come in! Here are ten tips to help you get started with social media marketing:
.) Define your goals. What do you want to achieve with your social media marketing? More website visitors? More leads? More customers? Better brand awareness? Once you know what you want to achieve, you can create content and strategies that will help you reach your goals.
.) Do your research. Learn about the different social media platforms and which ones will be most effective for reaching your target market. Not all platforms are created equal! For example, LinkedIn is great for B2B companies, while Instagram is better for B2C companies.
.) Create a content calendar. This will help you plan and schedule your content in advance so that you’re always putting your best foot forward. Make sure to include a mix of content types (images, videos, blog posts, etc.) and topics (industry news, company updates, tips & tricks, etc.) to keep your audience engaged.
.) Set up a system for monitoring mentions and feedback. It’s important to stay on top of what people are saying about your company online. You can use Google Alerts or set up notifications on each platform so that you’re alerted whenever someone mentions your company or leaves a review.
.) Respond to comments and reviews—in a timely manner! When someone takes the time to leave a comment or review, they expect a response—preferably within 24 hours. If you don’t respond in a timely manner, they may take their business elsewhere.
.) Engage with other users. Social media is all about building relationships—with potential customers and other businesses in your industry. Take the time to engage with other users by liking and commenting on their posts, sharing their content, and joining relevant conversations.
.) ONLY DO THIS IF IT MAKES SENSE FOR YOUR BRAND! Spammy comments will only turn people off from your company. Make sure everything you post adds value to the conversation. Generic comments like “great post!” or “love this!” will not suffice. It would help as well if you capitalize keywords such as MSPs or BSPs.
.) Post often, but don’t overload people’s feeds with too much of your content. A good rule of thumb is to shoot for 1-2 posts per day on each platform. If you have more than that to share, consider breaking it up into multiple posts over the course of a week so that people don’t get sick of seeing your brand all the time.
.) Use hashtags! But don’t use too many. Hashtags can help you reach a wider audience, but if you use too many, it just looks spammy. Try using 1-3 hashtags per post, and make sure they’re relevant to what you’re posting about.
.)Track your progress. Keep tabs on how well your social media marketing is performing by tracking metrics such as website traffic, engagement rates, and conversion rates. This will help you determine what’s working well and what needs to be improved.
